Operate Construction Equipment such as tractor, bulldozer, backhoe, or excavator, for the purpose of construction, demolition, or excavation.
May be responsible for routine greasing, maintenance, or repairs.
Able to work independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function.
Dig Pits, Trenches or Holes as Directed; Restore and/or Landscapes Disturbed Areas
General fluency with tools used in various trades.
Knowledge of the general construction industry and the sub trades.
Working knowledge of the occupational hazards and proper safety precautions involved in operating heavy equipment.
Requires the ability to speak and/or signal people to convey or exchange information.
Must be able to communicate effectively and efficiently in standard English and understand mechanical and engineering terminology.
Competencies and Abilities:
Ability to inspect items for proper length, width, and shape.
Ability to coordinate hands and eyes rapidly and accurately in using heavy equipment.
Must have minimal levels of eye/hand/foot coordination.
Ability to differentiate between colors and shades of color.
Ability to perform minor maintenance on heavy equipment.
Ability to communicate with Project Managers, Field Supervisors, subcontractors, fellow associates, and all project site visitors.
Ability to perform tasks and follow directions assigned by the Field Supervisor and Project Manager accurately and within the specified timeframe.
Ability to be always aware of surrounding environment and conditions.
Ability to productively manage time and materials to maximize efficiency and quality
Ability to take pride in servicing the customer and having a strong commitment to safety.
Ability to work within precise limits or standards of accuracy and quality.
Ability to work in a team environment and add input to discussions.
Ability to identify and troubleshoot problems before they become major issues.

Hourly Rate $22-$30HR - depending on Certificates and Experience
