We are actively searching for a Superintendent to oversee Utility Construction operations in Massachusetts

• Working knowledge of underground utility installation
• Supervise workforce to ensure productivity and quality
• Receive and dispatch work
• Call-in and manage “dig alerts”
• Coordination and supervision of subcontractors and vendors
• Read and understand telecommunications prints
• Manage and update overall project schedule
• Provide three week look-aheads
• Onsite coordination of material delivery and receipt
• Prepare daily logs
• Review project plans and specifications
• Review shop drawings and submittals
• Responsible for quality control and completion of punch lists
• Conduct weekly site and safety meetings/OSHA compliance
• Job cost management
• Review/Approve Accounts Payable related to direct job cost
• Assist with preparation of customer billing
• Prepare or review post construction red-line drawings

• Minimum 5 years’ experience related to utility construction and excavation


• Familiar with OSHA regulations / safety procedures


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills


• A valid driver’s license is required


• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail


• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines


• Strong supervisory and leadership skills


• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software


• OSHA 10 or better


• Experience with Verizon system and construction standards is a plus


• Competent Person Cert is a plus
