Danella Rail Services Corp is looking to hire Field Mechanic (100% travel) to perform various service, maintenance and repair tasks on trucks, trailers, and especially railroad equipment. Field Mechanic should have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in machine repair, and candidate should be physically and mentally fit, with strong mechanical skills.

• Carry, lift, place, install various mechanical, machine, and truck components.
• Function-test and perform diagnostics and repairs.
• Use hand and power tools to complete repair, maintenance and upfitting tasks.
• Cut associated materials with oxygen-acetylene torches, abrasive saws, band saws.
• Drill holes with gasoline, pneumatic, hydraulic and electric drill motors.
• Work alongside heavy equipment in a noisy environment.
• Participate in safety meetings.
• Wear all appropriate personal protective equipment.

• Willing and able to travel to, and remain on, various job sites; 100% travel to be expected. Service truck provided. Lodging and Per Diem provided for all work-related travel.
• Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic circuits and systems, including testing and diagnostics.
• Knowledge of railroad maintenance of way equipment, as manufactured by Nordco, Knox-Kershaw, Kershaw, Harsco, Case, Geismar
• Able to work before, during and after the shift to ensure readiness of equipment daily. This may include weekends
• Arc Welding and use of Oxygen/Acetylene a plus
• Interact effectively with shop and field employees.
• Understand and follow verbal and visual communications.
• Understand and respond to audible and visual signals and warnings.
• Recognize, identify, avoid, and report potential hazards.
