Danella Companies, Inc. is currently hiring for a As Built Design Technician located out of our Corporate Headquarters in Plymouth Meeting, PA.

Responsibilities

  • Perform entry-level utility/engineering design support applying the design and industry/client standards, procedures, and design criteria working on routine utility engineering tasks.
  • Establish As-Built Drawings for various Utility Construction projects.
  • Conduct field visits to project sites to perform measurements and inventory of critical design elements. Work directly with Field Superintendents to accurately capture field production values.
  • Collaborate with multidiscipline design engineers and technicians.
  • Under the supervision of a senior project manager, support the advancement of designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings in conformance with the applicable standards and regulations. CAD as-built drawings.
  • Use computer-aided drafting tools such as Bluebeam REVU21, as well as technical handbooks, utility standards, tables, and calculators to create relevant drawings and 3D models.
  • Decision-making within the clearly defined job scope.

Qualifications

    • Associate degree or Technical Equivalent Degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or relevant field. Candidates with experience working in the utility industry will be highly considered. Industrial or Petroleum a plus.
    • Recent College Graduate or minimum of 1-2 years of AutoCAD, MicroStation and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D and Plant 3D experience on utility related projects. Direct design and drafting work in the power-delivery field, with emphasis on natural gas work desired.
    • Familiarity of relevant industry standards for design and construction.
    • Knowledge of Bluebeam REVU21 or similar CAD program required.
    • Excellent time management.
