Responsibilities

  • Familiarize yourself with Safety rules and abide by them.
  • Works well with internal and external customers.
  • Self-motivator, be able to work with minimal direction. Understand that safety, customer service & productivity are key factors in the company’s success.
  • Pre-trip equipment prior to mobilization & post trip after each day.
  • Be able to operate 6-wheel, 10 wheel or tri-axle dumps, boom trucks, bucket trucks, digger derricks, or equivalent.
  • Be able to drive mechanical and automatics trucks.
  • Knowledge of technology, be able to use iPad for time sheets, daily JHA’s, Sortly material or similar software and safety observations. Be able to inventory material and advise management of need of material.
  • Fuel trucks and check fluid levels are topped off.
  • Familiarize self with the location of tools and materials on trucks.
  • Cone off trucks upon arrival and assist in establishing a work zone when needed.
  • Have a clear understanding of JHA topics. Tasks / Hazards for work being performed.
  • Familiarize yourself with material & tool names and use of them.

Competencies and Abilities:  

  • Ability to communicate with Project Managers, Field Supervisors, subcontractors, fellow associates, and all project site visitors. 
  • Ability to perform tasks and follow directions assigned by the Field Supervisor and Project Manager accurately and within the specified timeframe. 
  • Ability to be always aware of the surrounding environment and conditions.  
  • Ability to productively manage time and materials to maximize efficiency and quality 
  • Ability to work within precise limits or standards of accuracy and quality. 
  • Ability to work in a team environment and add input to discussions.  
  • Ability to identify and troubleshoot problems before they become major issues. 
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at the same time while maintaining attention to detail. 
  • Ability to work in stressful situations.  
  • Excellent customer service skills.  

 

Education/Experience/Skills:

  • Must be able to communicate in English.
  • Must work well in a team environment.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • At least 2 years of related experience.
  • CDL driver’s license required.
